Takuya Saeki graduated from the Japan Design Academy in 2002. After graduation, he worked for various advertising and design agencies before assuming the role of art director at KDDI Web Communications Inc. As director, he oversaw the design work of a wide range of print and digital marketing material for companies such as CPI and Jimdo.

In 2012, he established his design agency “Smooth and Friendly” based in Shibuya, Tokyo, where he began honing his skills as a solo designer. Since his move to freelance, he has worked with dozens of business, helping them design websites, apps, magazine advertisements, catalogs, brochures, and flyers. Alongside his extensive background in print and web design, Saeki specializes in working together with businesses for project planning, design concept development, visual direction, and branding material.

In July 2020, he received the Bronze Prize in the A’ Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category at the A' Design Award & Competition.
